Disneyland Resort Paris is divided in two parks: Disneyland Park and Walt Disney Studios
- As the time needed to enjoy both parks is more than a day, you will probably visit only the Disneyland Park, if you don't have enough time there.
- Disneyland Resort Paris is located 32 km east of Paris.
- The fastest way to get to the park is by using the RER A (direction Marne la Vallee/ Chessy Parc Disneyland). The park is located just 5 minutes walk from the station. Average time of the travel by the train is about 40 minutes from central Paris.
- Note that there are free shuttle bus lines which will take you from RER station to your hotel. These buses are used exclusively by the guests of the Disneyland Hotels and the Val de France Hotels.
- Disneyland Resort Paris is usually open from 10.00 t0 22.00.
- It's better to start your visit there early in the morning. Plan your day so as to arrive there at 10.00.
- Don't forget that the park is huge and the weather in summer tends to be hot. Supplies of water and hats will help you enjoy your visit more conveniently.
- It is best to buy your ticket in advance online. The ticket costs aproximetely 50 euros for 1 park/1 day and you pay a small supplement (about 3 euros) if you want to buy the 2 parks/1 day ticket. There are also other offers for more than a day. If you are going to stay in one of the Disneyland Hotels, tickets are usually included in the package.
Restaurants-Cafes
- There are many restaurants and stands where snacks, drinks and food are sold. The prices of the drinks, ice creams and light snacks are fixed and quite high.
- If you are not willing to spend too much, you can take some sandwiches and water with you from a supermarket in central Paris.
- There are also some self-service rastaurants which offer you the opportunity to rest in an air conditioned area as long as you want, without having to pay too much.
- The best way to visit the most popular attractions in Disneyland is by using the fast pass system. At the time of your entrance to the park, each visitor is provided with a white card with the indication fast pass, if the visit has been prebooked online. Otherwise, the normal Disneyland ticket which is sold by the ticket office can be used also for the fast pass system.
- The fast pass system enables you to visit the most popular attractions without having to wait at the queue. You just enter your ticket in the special machines located at the entrance of the attractions, and you are given a fast pass card. This card enables you to visit the attraction at a specific half hour time frame without waiting at the queue.
- Under normal circumstances you may only have one fast pass at a time. Another ticket can only be obtained once a previous one has expired. If you are lucky, it's likely that the machines let you get a fastpass ticket for another attraction at the same time. The system is automatic and apparently distributes the visitors according to the demand for each attraction. So, just try it! Each fast pass you get, has a printed time, after which you can have your next one.
- Remember that in Disneyland Park , there are 6 attractions that use the fastpass system. These attractions are the following: Indiana Jones and the Temple of Peril, Big Thunder Mountain, Peter Pan's Flight, Buzz Lightyear Laser Blast, Star Tours and Space Mountain:Μission 2. The most popular and impressive attraction is by far Peter Pan's Flight. As the fas tpasses for this attraction tend to disappear by 14.00 approximately, it is to take a fast pass for this as soon as you arrive at the parc and as early as possible.
- In Walt Disney Studios Park, there are three fast pass enabled attractions: Rock n' Roller Coaster starring Aerosmith, The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror and Crush's Coaster.
Description of the entrance to each attraction
The entrance to each attraction has an indication with the average waiting time. Note that this indication is precise. The whole system is organized and tends to work very well. At the attractions with the fastpass system, there are usually three waiting points :
- The first is for the persons who are waiting at the regular queue without having a fastpass.
- The second point is only for people who have a valid fastpass.
- The third one is where the fast pass machines are
